Group 2 has a result up, Konjou over CIDKID so far. Looks like Konjou will have the group 2 lead if he keeps off everyone else in the group.

EDIT: wtf it changed. CIDKID is now 4-0

Konjou played CidKid earlier in the day, then played again a few hours later.

 

The first link has CIDKID 4-0, Konjou 3-1.
The second link has Konjou 4-0, CIDKID 3-1.

It didn't change? Is there a mishap or something?

Looks like CIDKID took it, followed by AdamYuki. Congrats to everyone. Go NYC!!! Top 2, baby!! You're all just lucky that fapping-injury kept me from competing...


EDIT: Apparently the site was wrong and they got it reversed! That's quality control, WCG!!!

Now I have to explain this again...

One of the links represents what you'd call a "1st Half". The other link would be the "2nd half".

I'm not sure they did it this way, but the probably tallied up the total wins and losses from "both halves" to determine the 2 players that come out of the "pools".

Think - Round Robin played twice.

 

No dude, it was genuinely wrong at 8am this morning, and had CIDKID versus AdamYUKI, showing CIDKID having won. The link was also called "Final" and they changed it to "Double-Elimination."

I'm making this post to clear things up.

10 players broken up in two groups played qualifying round robins. The top 2 players from each group advanced to play in a 4 man double elimination tournament on the final day.

Rules:
Matches were determined by best of five games (3 games to win). Games were set for best of 9 rounds (5 rounds to win)

We fought with WCG organizers to contest this rule for this is not standard settings (Plus it gives Shun a clear advantage). WCG would not falter stating these were the rules set from the beginning from online qualifiers. They presumed having more rounds per game would definitely show which players had the best mettle.

2 Round Robin matches

2. Denkai 6-2
3. Chief Flash 4-4
4. RayBlade 2-6
5. Patrick Gunn 0-8 (father of Kat "Mystik" Gunn of DOA fame) WCG asked him to fill empty slot
