Weekend Trocadero Thread -- London

btw, i had a good time yesterday, i hadnt even been playing VF for atleast 2 months or more so it was a great chance to warm up and remember how to even play the damn game. /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Optimus - aoi has gotten much more tricky, your flow charts have become much stronger! be careful when u are getting carried away moving alot, when u come to do a move logical to beat another move, you may lose due to recovering more frames than u should, thats a habbit so easy to get, i do that alot when i get carried away with backdash-attacks.. i then have to recover frames onto top the frames of my move and then eat a slower attack from the opponent. heh.. you asked me about her circular moves right?

well, i said that her K+G is nice for when you guess an opponent's evade, prefferably when the opponent is at reverse nitaku and want to ETEG, or as they TR and want to ETEG, you could even try different flow charts to force that decision from the opp..

the main aim is that it will smack em in the face. the good thing about aoi's is that it will knock down MC to give u a free (f)pppk combo. but if it is only normal hit you are still at +1, so you can play an okay nitaku game with a throw or b,df+p. (at this situation, b,df+p will beat any attack --- bare in mind however all this can be avoided with a box step or a backdash, it's more likely that the opp will stay attack or straight block).

if u are blocked, you are only at -3, use her standard defensive measures, i'm sure u know what they are..... the problem about relying on her sweep with circular hits is that you are at straight -6 even on normal hit. so atleast this one is a safe sub.

edward - improved some, stick with jeff, learning too many characters aint good. probably your best guy imo. keep at it.. /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Jun - great games, even tho he told me he hadnt been playing often also. he is still the best wolf in the UK, and his brad is no slouch ... it was a nice score too, i think it was 5-4 to him. after i started playing on 1P side, there was no way i could buffer shlrms, that really killed my game. cheers for the info about lions move too, i hope we can play again next week. aint actually played the guy in atleast almost a year now!

Daisuke - played him twice - oh my dayz, i cant even touch the guy no more, defense is just indestrictable and flow charts are so jarring since he came back from japan,... truly with out a doubt ryan's alter ego here in the UK, preferably along with Jun too.

thanks for the K&G advice, thats one of Aoi's moves I just really never use due to my fear of it being ducked etc etc, but from the sounds of it it seems like a better option to beat ete, or eteg leave me actually in advantage! /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif Regarding the movement I dunno, guess I'm used to being at disadvantage with her /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif , it seemed to help me against dai,jun ryan more than against you, so I guess horses for courses and all that.
Few Other guys turned up before you left, ryan included /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif , also I think that Ryo geezer wanted to tell you some things about Goh but I don't know if he got the chance. Btw your goh is a bitch to break down, it literally at times feels like playing dai's jeff cause of the frustrating flowcharts /versus/images/graemlins/crazy.gif it was good experience againt a goh one of the characters I have almost 0 experience fighting.
Wonder why Vo aint about nowadays....

After last weekend at Sham's I'm hating Trocadero even more than usual -with it's j
Jekyll & Hyde sticks, and a certain Aoi/shun/wolf playa (jst abv) who stole half my credits after he was convinced the technician had given them to me for free (long story). I just hope they put FT in a half decent cabinet when it arrives.

I took one "Free" credit as it was owed to me when the engineer stopped my game, plus someone took (Teefed) my 50p, as for all the other credits, as I said to you there, if you really paid the engineer for those credits and you were owed 2 or whatever more you needed, why didn't you go to the other side where there were 12 free credits on the better stick which Bk was happily using with no complaints?

Vf is stilll going strong i see, just thought id say hi as i havent played for ages, im kinda semi retired but ill make the effort to come down now and again.Though i aint touched Vf for over a month. Guess that time when dai murdered me, optimus and mark just made me realise i h8 VF most of the time when im not losing of course

 

i'll definately start coming down to Troc on fridays, its a shame that there will be no more gatherings at Sham's, which means i gotta start splashing lots of cash on the machine as i am not good enough to win yet

JFC you still don't believe I paid 5 quid for those credits? You knew the slot was jammed, you knew the technician was there. You know that he was a bit of an idiot, but idiot enough to give away 20 odd free credits!!?? He didn't know what he was doing an ended up giving BK/et al on the other side ~14 credits and leaving me 1 short with 9. It's confirmed that he was new and an idiot. Then brought back that other guy with the girly voice who fixed the coin slot and gave 'our' side 3 more credits. You were owed 2 at most, which would have left me with 10. Yet I only played BK 5 times!!?? And he was the only person I played, so where did the rest of my credits go?? Did I not tell you that the credits were mine? Did you tell me, in front of Ryo Yamazaki, that you thought I was lying? Did I not repeat that the credits were mine? Yet you insisted on taking them and worse. Did I not offer to clarify the situation with the 'technician' when he came down again later? Why did you want me to go to the other side? I was not absolutely sure where the credits on the other side had come from and, like you, I wanted to play BK for a change. Did you want me to go wait on the other side so that you could claim my remaining credits?

All to much bother for me to go into any further, but this really isn't what I needed after having 140 quid's worth of stuff stolen from me a few weeks ago.

sup guys, i didnt do very well at troc today, i was wearing my laptop and was boiling hot with sweat with half a brain ^^, still, i dont take away any credit from my opponents, i think they played very well.

i also chose my dead, neglected-for-3 to 4-months wolf, and was painfully non-playable X____X. now my level is just at "shaddap and kill me" stage.

 

is it still busy at troc, when is the best time to come down besides fridays

guess thing shave changed, i picked up wolf again thanks to some advice from ryan & co today (sat)... guess it will take me some time to get back uo to speed, heh...

btw, that was real nice on friday too, just to keep this post troc related. even tho gerald was on fire for a bit, kicking bare ass.

 

Since we're posting here I might as well thank AA in this thread for a trully excellent VF session, class setup, location, etc, I think that's why some of the matches were too sick, cause of the comfort factor, nice sofa's house aa /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif, norbury's a nice place to visit!
Good thing I had some training on that friday with Vo at troc other wise I would have got owned. Post more match stuff when I remember /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Also I'd take it also as a compliment since people see you as a tough competitor,
but I think next time it's the turn of other people's rivalries since you've had your fair share, seeing as you came from work can see thats the last thing you wanted.

All them matches I had in ranking battle were too tense,
highlights for me against colombo, that ring out /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif , guess shun was too drunk! against Zeng, last bit of energy! and jun and bk's wolf, hatim, jason and Vo's vanessa! Bloody tense matches /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif
