Venue is at the basement of Game Focus, air con will be available and there will be more room for players as the games have been reduced to 4.

Entry is still £3 per day. Bring your own sticks, controllers and convertors. They are available to buy at Game Focus. 3rd Party PS2s are for hire at £1 (you'll get it back when u return pad).

Rules will be up on the Game Focus website. Here's just a snippet:

Main goal is to win matches. Each match is recorded with the number of rounds noted down. 3 points for a win. 0 points for a lost. There is a win-streak cap of 10 matches. Players must have a "match card" in order to compete. Matches will not be marked if a player has not registered with a "match card". Players will need to bring their laminated Game Focus membership card. Those with no membership card will need to join up. There is no bonus points feature in this league tournament.

At the end of September, we will calculate the final tables and offer a £50 Game Focus voucher to spend in the store to the player in 1st place on each game. Runner-up prizes may follow for 2nd and 3rd place players if 50 or more ppl turn up every day. Basically, the more players we get into the venue every week, the more chance more players will receive prizes.

I've dropped it cause only 5 ppl signed up for it on the 2nd week of the trial tournament, compared to the 22 on the first week.

I'll do pro evo 3 instead if I get a promo copy.

I'll come down on the 16th - back from the States - I think Ryan will be back by then also...

But I may need to set buttons because P2W setup is how I have my buttons. /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Who won the VF competition at Evo? It doesn't seem to say on this site like it does for the other game sites.

Good turn out for vf on saturday, won a few lost a few. Everytime i go there people seem to be getting better, Otimusomega now has a killer Aoi hard to get past that defence,DAkira proabably the person i was most impressed with (no offence to any of the other players) his akira getting so much better every time i face it, not to mention i think he was the only person to knock off odu modu's jeffry, bareknuckle (aka one half of team norbs) still managing to piss me off with his wolf.

I know i'm forgetting a few people but i cant remember everyone's names.

Thanks for the compli man but I reckon I played bad! (been out of practise) I had to rely on defence cause I didn't feel my offence was to strong, your Pai is proper tough though, I'll be in training this week /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif. Yeah Dakira's Akira is getting enough strong, Knees were coming out like low punches /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I can only make it down for Saturday's so if there's a chance Evo will be there next week I'll be there, I know it's not on the schedule but if it's quiet for the other games...?
