For those of you that went through the effort to get the game for PS3 would you just get the 360 version just to get rid of the PS3 version or keep both of them if you even bother getting it for the 360 to begin with. I will get the 360 version but I won't get rid of the PS3 version. I will use the PS3 version for offline practice using everyone to keep myself sharp. If I play serious matches on 360 using xbox live I will only use my main people and I won't use everyone in the game just my top 3 or 4 people. If the patch for PS3 version for version C is made this will all change but as of now I am assuming that it won't happen for a while how about you guys.

I'm selling my PS3 on Oct. 28th. It served its purpose well for the last few months.

I'll be keeping both. Too many games I want on both /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif

I am keeping both. Besides, I will need something to play when my 360 breaks. I have a wii also and I have to say that I am looking forward to more wii games than I am PS3 or 360 games.

Unless the 360 version is buggy, don't you think the 360 version would be better than the PS3 version for offline practice?

You make good pint about bugs but that isn't why I would do it. When I play on the 360, I want focus on the few characters I play the best or my personal favorites (most people have their preferred characters of choice). I will play them online most of the time, and I will play offline with them some on the 360 too but the main reason I will have them started on the 360 is for the online play mainly. The PS3 version will be my offline casual match "versus my buddies" system and offline practice for every character.

But by practicing offline on the PS3, you will be playing version B. Whereas the 360 version will be version C.

Yes you are right but that will only get a general feel for the game, I will make sure to practice with the 360 as well to keep myself up to date with version C. Only practicing with PS3 won't help me in that respect you are completely right about that and I said in my previous post that I would practice the 360 version some too as well.

Dude, you're making absolutely no sense whatsoever! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

You can still use the 360 version to play casual versus matches with your buddies.

If you're so worried about tainting your offline win/loss record, well, you have a number of options:

    - create a "casual" profile and use that instead
    - don't use a profile at all

Also, for online versus, there's a seperate ranking system which won't be affected by offline games.

As far as I'm concerned, if you own both systems then there's no point to ever play the PS3 version again. Unless, of course, someone else is using the 360 and you're dying to play VF5! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

I am not concerned with my offline record in anyway and I have lost quite a few matches compared to what I should be losing and I don't really care about I am trying to enjoy the game. If my methods seem odd I am sorry, I just want to play both games that is all, I like the game so much I just want to play both versions if there is something wrong that then I don't know what to say about that unfortunately.

Well, I'll likely still play the PS3 version since that's where my sticks is at. Until I find a converter or until MSFT add the drivers for the sticks to the 360.

Hey, question about the profile situation on the 360. It is said that our profiles will now be transferable. Assuming via a Memory Unit. My question is though. . . If you have more than three people playing on a console, how will they all be able to use their profiles? Can you just stick your Memory Unit in and it instantly recognizes the file, bringing up your profiles at the character select screen? Or will we have to back out and go to the options menu to load it? I could see this feature as a blessing for a rotation of 3 and under, but anymore it may not be worth the hassle lol.

(Good thing items are easier to earn this time around, that may help with the customization woes.)

if its like the ps2 game

you stick memory card in at the character selection screen after the match and when you get back to the character selection screen it saves the info to your card then you take it out and the next player puts there card in

Tight, that's not so bad then. Really hope it works like that again this go around.

Unless there is a patch/software upgrade coming up it looks like PS3 version is getting screwed, that would suck.

Only thing I can think of, and please, no one read this and get your hopes up. Is that AM2 and MS plan to release all of this on the 360, wait a bit, then patch up the PS3 or make a copy available for it. They don't want to miss out on more 360 sales and what not, so they'd want to maxamize their sales by taking advantage of KrsJin, knowing damn well he'll be buying both /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif

I thought in the latest interview one of the guys whod developes vf said they have no intention of doing anything for the ps3 version....but you never know.

Well the first thing ill do is check out the new dojo mode. Then check out the new ai too see if it can actually help your game. Then get some vs rounds offline and online. Rinse and repeat.

The only thing I could possibly see is not wanting to buy more arcade sticks than you have to.

The best part was that you could save your button configs. So if you have pad and stick users you don't really care.
