What does perfect 360/p360 mean?

Is it just top of the line? Literally what it means (full circle)? I'm interested in modding the ex2 so I'm trying to figure out all this joystick lingo.

 

I'm not sure what sure what you're asking. Where is there reference to 360/p360? Are you actually asking about "HOWTO: Mod VSHG single switch PS3 / X360?" That thread is regarding a stick other than the EX2.

Please clarify.

Ahh - Google Search reveals this.

So, although Sanwa sets the standard for Japanese arcade controls, p360 is not their terminology. Many VFers would steer clear of a p360-style stick and instead use a Sanwa with a square gate.

 

P360 is a type of joystick made by Happs controls, the number #1 distributor for arcade parts in the US.

P360's are unique in that they do not use switches like most joysticks. They operate with a optical laser to determine the position of the joystick.

I personally love P360 sticks for playing Street Fighter games in the arcade but I don't think I would like to use them to play VF.

I prefer to play VF with a square gate joystick so I can feel the diagonals. P360's have a round gate.
