What happened? I lost my rank and points...

Hello everyone


I lost my rank and my points in Virtua Fighter on PSN. Can anyone tell me what may have happened.

After a mach I returned to my first kyu and number of games started by -1.

It sounds like you disconnected during your demotion match..

Whether this is intentional or a bug I don't know, but this is a well-observed phenomenon in FS online now.

 

No Manji, it's completely different. Disconnecting during demotion match only sets you back to Hunter and has no effect on your battle points and won/lost matches.

Noface, I am certain it's a bug and I have seen it happened to three people so far. I have absolutely no idea why it would happen, but you can probably send a complaint to Sega. It completely wipes off all battle history/points from your PSN VF5:FS profile and resets you rank.

 

Ive only seen that happen once

 

Happened to me when the other player disconnected. Got -1 match and first kyo. I logged off online rankings and in again,and retrieved my orignal stats.

 

Happened to my opponent too, I'm sure he was a quite high rank last time I saw him. Shitty bug!

I was involuntarily disconnected in a game
I never imagined that this would happen, I never disconnected from a fight before.

 

I know of one player that PM'ed me. So I don't know for sure whether he was telling the truth or not. He said he was playing with another player that was a known booster. Supposedly the other player had either already been banned or was about to be banned or something like that. According to this guy, after him and the booster played a number of rounds, he did get the promotions he was looking for, but once he got out of the game, and logged back in, his rank was gone, stats gone, everything. Because I don't know the cat personally, I can't vouch for how true or how accurate his story was, and your incident is the only other case where I've heard of players losing it all. I trust you were not boosting. But if you were,.,. then you got what you deserved....

 

Somehow I doubt Sega is this vigilant with VF on the consoles. If they were, the top 10 on PSN would look very different.

My money is on the random bug theory. Sorry bro, send Sega a nasty and email and see what happens

 

I think it was a bug, I have not committed any fault for this to happen.

I thought the other player lost connection and I went back to playing normally, but I lost my rank. Actually I lost connection the match, but unintentionally ...

I have sent an e mail to sega

I do not want that happen to anyone else

Hey Noface.What is your PSN-name?
I saw this happen to a lot of people lately. Especially to someone named "Qeruberosu", who was something like a Veteran or Berserker and lost his rank completely. I also seems to be hard to level up again for him, since PSN isnt as populated as it was before.

Maybe you should send a mail to Sony too, since they keep record of your online activities they may be able to restore it faster. Sony seems to be very cooperative in this kinda stuff.

Yea this happened to me a few days ago. I had just reached Berserker then shortly after i had connection problems which gave me an error leading to me being sent back to the main menu, my rank was reset after that.
