VF Sales on the 360 were not that great, what if the VF5FS on the consoles is a PS3 exclusive would you switch back to the PS3?

I'd have to get a new PS3 but yeah, definitely.

My PS3 broke after a few weeks after getting it (YLOD) but I haven't seen the need to get a new one because there's nothing I really wanted to play on it.

If it were multi-platform again I would go with the Xbox version due to Xbox Live being superior to PSN. Also, the majority of better players will most likely be on the xbox as has been the case with all the multi-platform online fighters as of late.

But yeah, if it was a PS3 exclusive I'd get it. Hell, if it were on the Nintendo 3DS I'd still get it.

I've always said that I would never buy a console just for one game, however in the case of VF5FS I would make a rather large obligation.

To be honest I would not care what system the game was released on so long as SEGA release it.

Now they're going to release it on the Dreamcast 2 just because you said that.

I never bought a 360, just got a stick for it and travel. Well, used to travel, I'm on hiatus. So yeah, my PS3 is ready.

I bought a PS3 at launch just for VF5, I would have probably bought a 3DO if it had a new VF game at launch.

I was originally going to buy a PS3 at launch for VF5 until I found out it was also coming out for 360 with online. With the PS3 being a lot cheaper than it was 3 years ago I'd probably be all over that now.

It wouldn't bother me since I have both systems.

I`d get it for sure. I`d be hoping to mod the TE to play on both systems.

Got my TE modded, have a PS3 in my flat. Not a fanboy. Wouldn't care. Infact if either Sony or Microsoft(or indeed someone else) were to push for the game on their console, i'd go straight out and buy that console and 5 copies of the game. Doesn't matter who so long as it happens.

I played VF5b the other night strangely enough. The first time in six months; and the first time I've played any VF5 since trading my 360 h/w to clear the spareroom in November.

While playing, I was thinking about why Sega never patched the game's mechanics to the same level as the 360 VF5c version; excluding the controversial topic of adding online play; which they claimed they couldn't. But I started to remember a difference about the PS3 version when I was trying to video capture with VF5c.

I now think that Sony's TRCs (technical requirements check list) for all EU games probably requires support of Standard definition at 50Hz to be compatible with all old CRT Tvs.

The 360 version (as Myke corrected me at the time) is 60Hz only, and I wouldn't be surprised if VF's arcade versions dropped support for 50Hz (back at VF5b); obviously this seems like another obstacle for the next VF version on PS3.

With Sega's limp response to the petition from VFDC last year, the only reason I can see Sega now releasing a new version of VF for consoles(and specifically for PS3), is that by the recently reported PS3 firmware root key hack, Sega; like most companies, will probably want to update&release new versions of all games that used the old private key.

Releasing new versions of games devalues copies of the pirated copies and ensures they can make money off of any new customers who want VF on console. This could be a small piece of good fortune for VF on console for us.

With regards to the console scene of VF diminishing, I do believe that Sega's failure to patch the game's mechanics of VF5b to VF5c level, is the biggest reason the player base is so disillusioned and fragmented on console, and inadvertently a end of the PS3 VF scene which had more customers.

If a new version comes to PS3, hopefully they'll ditch 50Hz support, add in support for the dualshock stick and release&support a game with identical game mechanics on both systems.

this thread is stupid... if you are a fan and you love the game does it really matter what system it's on? Bottom line you are going to want to play, so you'll buy a super computer if you have to or go to a friend's house and play.

I bought my PS3 ONLY for VF5 and currently only use it as a BluRay player. It served it's purpose for the short time VF was an exclusive on it. I mainly kept it in the event something like this were to happen and I wouldn't want to miss out on VF.

If the game comes out on Nintendo 3DS... I'm buying a 3DS and so will everyone else who loves the game and REALLY wants to play it.

I agree as well, I'm gonna get a 3DS anyway for all its great games including Dead or Alive: Dimensions which I've heard is a US launch title.

I have an idea, I don't know if u guys have suggested this to anyone or if it's even possible to do but if can we donate money to Sega, do u think, they'll be able to have the funding to port VF5 R or FS to consoles or is it more than just having a lack of funds?

Okay not to insult anyone or anything like that.

But c'mon, this is a stupid senario.
If you're a True Fan of VF, you'd never think of things such as Exclusive to one console.

Especially in this day and age.

I mean how is releasing the game on one console gonna benefit Sega or the International fanbase for the matter?

You guys must be bored, cause I check this website once in a while and here I come to see stupid topics.

Pretty sure it's not a funding issue. There not pulling in funds like Capcom, but I'm sure they are far from broke. It's just a numbers business decision that us fans can't possibly understand. I know I don't... I want the game and simply feel as a loyal customer I should get it! [IMG]

This Shit could come out for Neo Geo and i'd still buy this shit. Thats why it pays to have both systems on deck. Stupid ass post SMH!!! 95% of the dudes on this site only copped a 360 for this game.

I have both systems so... whatever... but this is a dumb question.

It WON'T be exclusive. You think Sega can afford to aim for the smallest audience of the three platforms?

I never play fighting games on PSN but I'd like to take a chance once FS comes out. Is PSN still bad comparing with XBL??
