What is it with Jacky an even Sarah Players???

speaking as an ex vf3 jacky player, why do people chose him so much??? is it because of the minmal effort for nuff damage??? do you jacky players really think K,K, pounce is fulling enough 2 win??? i enjoy playing people who can only, or choose only 2 be him!!! i like to ring them out or 6 hit combo them with lau or kage! anyways i knew jacky was easy 2 play with from vf2 an 3 but in vf4 hes 2 much!!! hes more cheep then what pai was now!!! pai players, thats another matter....
what do you guys think on jacky players?

 

jacky is top tier in vf4. simply put, if you want to win, he's one of the best. oh sure, he's pretty boring to play, not denying that, but the mindgames that he deals out with only about 4-5 moves is just insane. and why do you talk about K,K pounce? any jacky who relies on that deserves to be punished. that goes to show just what type of jacky players you've gone up against. the really good ones will mix PG, d+P, elbow, and 2 different throws as their framework for their game, and do it to precision.

and pai is arguably the worst player in the game

 

Speaking for myself (a Sarah Player) I just enjoy fighting with her...just, relate (if that is the word) to her fighting style...

 

Hi, I'm a diehard Jacky player and I'm kind of tired of people saying how easy jacky is to play. Sure he's got a lot of mixups and such but honestly, Jacky is top tier in VF4 and I chose him cause of his look. He's a SUPER FLASHY Character that is a lot of fun to play! In the right hands Jacky is one of the coolest characters in VF4. Everyone should play Jacky. You seem to be having problems with Jacky Hajile here are some pointers.

BKC: Not a problem, sure its fast but if they are mashers then after the First smack of the BKC "DUCK". If they finish this combo its a free Back throw.

As far as K,K is concerned. It's probably pretty annoying sure. The high kick is pretty fast and its follow up kick is mid and can be delayed.

You've got to limit jacky's options when fighting him. If you attack him. Oh hell I don't know........................Jacky's cool. =). You should play him. If you don't already. peace,

 

along with shadowdean, i too am a sarah player. i dont understand how they have powered her down though. as far as i can tell, theyve taken a strong character and made her way weaker, but with more moves. where you have jerky, who has a SHIT load of new moves, and is a powerhouse.......someone in sega's camp has their nose up jacky's ass..........

A major strength of Jacky is that his Beat Knuckle, Back fist follows thru even when blocked.

Does version C revert back to VF3 style or stay with the version B?

Jacky is strong because of his strength in the Mid attacks and his overall range and speed.

Otherwise he's not that much overpowered.... Tier 1 or not none of the VF characters dominate decisively.

 

lol, know what you mean, Jacky is sort of like Paul from Tekken, takes not much skill to play and can be bitchass cheap.

 

VF3 Jacky's backfist still follows through when the beatknuckle is blocked, but the timing to press P for the backfist is different (or more like the window is narrowed I think).

Sarah? Powered down from VF2 certainly (no elbow-knee-flipkick, option select or shun puri), but almost anything is better than 3tb. Now Sarah has better float damage, a faster DC, a new float starter (u+K), a useful shin slicer and b+K+G, another throw, and the awesome flamingo stance. Just because the knees got neutered and 80% of her stuff is reversed mid doesn't mean she went down even further.

 

i like jacky if u play well with him but his best combos in vf4 are the easest!!,an take well to much, i like playing as him as i dont play cheep with him but i hav to say, cos hes so powerful it puts me off playing as him, unlike in vf3 where he was cheep an cool, i used 2 get beat with cheep vf4 jacky tactics an have to pick jacky to beat jacky!!! but now if some one picks jacky i just rush them i hope in ver C his simple canned combos hav been powered down basicly!

 

I'm sorry, quit complaining. Jacky can be handled, UP your game.

 

IMO. jacky has an unfair balance of speed, power, and the extreme ability to button bash (high, low OR mid)... his flipkick is to stay away from, a counter hit is half your energy wasted, i'm sure it's the most powerful one anyhow (could just be me?)...

I think the guy runs on Duracel batteries, he just goes on, and on, and on, and on, and on!!!, .... a player with reversals is a must.

sarahs flipkick does far less damage than jerkys.........overall he is a pig, and mash fiend.

 

Thats not the point. whether Sarah's does less or not, no newbie is gonna mash me down with Jacky.

Seriously, Jerky requires the opponent to know how to block, that's the only thing that makes him frustrating to a newbie. If you don't know enough to duck after f+P, P, you will die. If you keep trying to duck after P,P, you will die. That's sort of the gist of it. Know when to d+P jacky and know when to keep blocking high.

And his kickflip is far from cheap. Sarah's is cheaper imo. Less damage, but nigh-well uncounterable it seems like, she lands a mile away.

Alright, even though Jacky's kickflip takes more damage your only going to be able to use it to finish people if you don't want to lose half your life. Everytime you kickflip with jacky he taunts. So if your hit with it Tech it, and PUNISH. I would gladly take Sarah's kickflip anyday. Sarah owns. I'm becoming more and more fond of Sarah after seeing IMF play her and use her flamingo. Very NASTY stuff. Did you know that "flamingo jab" on MC garauntees a "Throw". Do you know how many people will swing if they see sarah go into flamingo. She is a Powerhouse. peace.
