1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. However, you can expect some VF5US specific changes to come soon!

What Is This Attack?

I've been playing VF for years but I've never really been a Wolf player. However, recently, I have taken an interest in Wolf (probably for variety). While I am just starting with him, I am familiar with almost all of his moves and the commands required to execute them (due to the fact that I believe you must have a decent understanding of a character in order to play well against said character, even if you don't use them). However, there is this one attack, that I have seen in a few videos, that I am curious about but I do not know the command for it. I have reviewed the command list on this site thinking that it may just be a move that I am unfamiliar with but I don't see any commands that I don't recognize. I have also gone through the command training in the PS2 to see if I could find it but had no luck there either. The move in question can be seem in the Wolf Combo Exhibition by Shinz. The move appears at approximately 26 seconds into the video and at approximately 32 seconds into the video (as well as a few others). It is the move that is used to start the combos at the times listed. If anyone can shed any light on this, it would be greatly appreciated.

(BTW: The move looks like he grabs them and gives them a knee or something)

    Thanks in advance

That is probably the new knee in VF4 evo. If you are playing on the ps2 version of the game that move does not exist. I didn't see the video yet, but I am fairly certain it is from evolution. That is wolf's new knee. /versus/images/icons/laugh.gif

That combo vid is Ver. C, PS2... so it's probably not an EVO knee.....

While not having access to the movie, my money is the low punch cut auto-reversal. Depending on the punch (left or right), the low punch cut either results in a switch or a quick knee.

Cant see the vid yet because Im in Croatia but I will take care of this question and post about any combos that are not of my knowledge or have special interest.
Could be a chance to finally sit my ass down and complete the Wolf combo list..

Myke: Your response sounds the most logical. I will have to try it out when I go to the arcade tomorrow. As many times as I've seen the low punch reversal, I have not seen this variant. Thanks for clearing it up.

MrWhite: Yes, do check out the video when you have a chance. Some very nice combos there. Being new to Wolf, I decided to check out your combo faq. Good read, however, there are quite a few combos that are not present in your guide so it looks like you will be updating /versus/images/icons/wink.gif

Ill be sure to oblige. Cant wait to start on an Evo guide, which wil be easier by using the ver.C FAQ as a template.
