Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. While I don't want to pay for stuff that we should've gotten with VF5, the VF DLC that I would pay for:

    Tutorial Mode
Additional Stages (beyond the standard one for each fighter)
    Battle Theatre
AI Training Mode (remember VF4's AI mode)
Additional Beginning and ending poses (beyond the standard ones)
Replay Mode (full 3d, slo-mo, etc)
    Tag-Team Mode
    Kumite Mode (Survival Mode)
    Underground Tournaments (Remember EVO)

$4.99 to $5.99 for each of this wouldn't be too bad... /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

I would pay $100 for a copy of 5R with online compatibility. And then I would pay any additional money for items and costumes if Sega made them later (just they do with the arcade).

Everything else should come with the game already. Having to pay individually for modes that were in VF4 and EVO is a major step backwards.

None. And the only DLC I would accept them selling without giving them a badge of shame, is additional stages/items/old soundtracks. Whatever doesn't affect my experience in the slightest.

well considering I dished out $700 or a PS3 - $325 for a HD monitor - $170 for a VFHG - $80 for VF5(JP) then $60 for VF5(US) about 1 week later... all to jump ship some months later to the Xbox version!

I'd be willing to pay pretty much anything at this point for anything R related.

I don't really care what DCL they sell as I will most likely buy it. All I hope for is a better training mode and online play on the same level or better.

Even if its a feature that only the minority of players is interested in? Like the trainable AI in VF4, most people
thought that feature sucked, they dogged it, and it did not make a repeat performance. But a small group of us liked it. We would be willing to pay extra for it as DLC because the majority of people wouldn't want it.

I'd definantly buy some DLC if they came out with some good stuff.

If I could choose for dream stuff i'd like to have.
Them 3 clip intro things like they have in the arcades, I always wanted to have that one where it looks like Akira jumps over that invisible half fence like he's jumping in the ring. (i'll try n find a vid of it maybe)

I guess you could buy em in packs like one pack for Akira (or character of choice) with 10 different intros and have a bunch of packs to choose from, I dunno, it's all fantasy stuff, you get the idea though.

I'd pay for some weapon/item win poses no doubt, that'd be cool.

And more items of course n that's bout it I guess.

Of course I'd pay a grip for R.

I would pay DLC for a system where it will read if someone pulls intentionally then if accumulated over time they're banned. I'm sure a lot of people will appreciate this, and the people pulling don't know but it would only be for their own good, no bullshit.

Honestly the only things I would pay for are the items, costumes and what not that came out after the game was established. If Sega makes us pay for ALT costumes, I would shit bricks. If it's in the arcade before the console release it should come standard, however if the arcade version was updated after the console release I wouldn't mind paying for it to have on console.

The stuff Po listed I expect to be in the game from the get go. Like 4EVO did.

I would never pay for costume changes/win poses/etc and am always a bit disgusted when I see that kind of stuff on the Marketplace.

I would gladly pay for DLC that adds to the gameplay. I would pay a lot for a complete training mode.

I'd pay for anything and everything, even if it's already on the disc.

I expect things like that to come on the disc from the start. Optimize the disc game with all modes and stuff you can before you release it and charge for "fixes". That's what I expect from any developer.

Btw didn't they have that mode on VF2 too? (Expert Mode or something)

Hell, Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection on the PSP has a trainable AI mode (Ghost Mode) and you can even upload your Ghost file on the net and download someone else's to practice against. I'm pretty sure they are bringing it back on Tekken 6 BR, as it was extremely popular on the PSP (there are several dedicated sites). So no, I wouldn't pay for it just because it's VF.

Wtf is with this "donate to SEGA" mentality? This isn't "feed the children" or some shit ~.~

I would pay for item packs, as long as they had some nice items in them. VF5 Item pack 1 for example was totally worth my ms points, pack 2 and 3 not so much.

I wouldn't want to pay for anything that effects the game's system, such as a tutorial mode or stuff like that. Those kinds of things should be included on the disc.

DLC should be for the extras. Think of it like a collectors edition of a DVD movie. There would be additional behind-the-scenes footage, but the movie would be the same. Extra costumes, win poses, stages, vf1 character models, ect.

I'd pay 50 or 100 pts each for professional tourny replays, such as KS V/VI.

There is a big difference between a developer deliberately holding content off the disc so that they can make some more money a month or two down the road, and a developer going back to a two year old game to add gameplay elements which they know the players want and just didn't have the time or resources to include on the disc. That's called supporting your game and is far more laudable than charging money for pointless costume changes.

Well, I love costume changes so I don't find them pointless. It's a subjective thing. Also, I don't care if content is on the disc or actually downloaded. If I don't HAVE to pay for it to continue playing the original game, it doesn't concern me. I can buy it or not buy it. I don't begrudge the developer for trying to make money. I enjoy choices.

I'd likely find it annoying to pay for a patch to fix bad programming.

If an on-the-box game description reads: "Gran Turismo 5 includes 28 real world tracks!" and fails to mention that I will have to buy some of them later, I'd probably get a little bent about that because I was duped.
