What if ShinZ goes(not a temporary) to Japan then would he be in top?
*** please do not use "jap" as a japanese.

Does anyone stay at the top in vf.net rankings in japan? I think it changes every day or every week. But I think Shinz could end up being one of the top 10 players in Japan.

my opinion is that you and your flag waving, shinz-fluffing buddies should stop spamming the board with incessant updates and editorials about shinz. keep it in one thread, already. some of us either don't give a shit, or fail to be amazed by the revelation that one player from another country can do well against players from another country.

Jesus christ. maybe it's the language barrier, but didn't you read what I said?
I said shinz might be one of the ten best in japan. Is that negative? At least the respect I give him is based on something besides "look at me! I was born in the same country as a good VF player!".

Whenever I speak of shinz, I have all the respect in the world for him, and very little for people who turn it into "my country is the best!" thing. Being born in korea or japan or canada has NOTHING TO DO with your VF skill, and nobody can take credit for shinz's wins except shinz. You shouldn't be proud, because you didn't get those wins. Korea shouldn't be proud, because korea didn't do anything to make shinz a good player. He did it himself.

learn some more english before you set yourself off. i said keep it in one thread, not "shut the fuck up motherfucker!"

there are enough shinz threads as it is. we get the point already. if you want to add another pointless shinz thought of the day, then do it in one of the existing threads.

why, thank you for your comment creeD

u see, i'm western but there's no way on earth i will fall into any catergory ppl put me in, infact i'm not really into western games or much culture, and i will NOT have my skill judged by their reputation either.. people vary, and it's not down to their country of origin, most ppl i play at the london casino are jacky mashers, some are infact cantonese..... dunno why, but it's mostly asians that seem to kick ass where i go.... o.0

You are right its got absolutely nothing to do with the country of birth. Its the country where the game is played that matters. I'm pretty sure that ShinZ wouldn't be as good as he is right now if he played 99% of his games in another country with an entirely different opposition. Simply put, a player can never be good if his opponents are trash, you got to give his Korean compatriots some credit.

oh i thought Myke deleted this thread.
first of all, i messed up forum with ShinZ story. i realized that.
i had to be more careful before i post.
i didnt read carefully before i reply back to CreeD and Mr bungle so i apology to them(especially CreeD).

and from next time when you(Mr bungle) feel to advise me or other people then be little more nice. also i be careful.

i just dont want to argue about anything.

Does anyone here that has "all the respect in the world" for Shinz realize they're doing so b/c he's good at a video game?

VF.net -- ranking changes every other day, when the servers query the machines connected to the network and gather points. Search for VF.net and you should see a post I made about the #1 guy, who owns VF4 in his home.

If someone goes on vacation for a week they could drop 100 spots easily, considering there's like 18,000 VF.net members.

you got to give his Korean compatriots some credit.

I have to give them credit for being interested in VF and playing it.
Do I have to give them credit for being born in Korea? No, of course not. How much work did that take?

He's good because his opponents were good, not because they're Korean. So if anyone wants to take pride in something, they can take pride in the specific opponents who have tested and honed shinz' skill. Seeing "shinz is great" or "yongdae is the best jacky ever!" might bother a few people, but it's not nearly as irritating and irrational as "MY CONTRY IS TEH BEST@!1!!!1" ... one can make plausible arguments about individual players, one cannot make rational generalizations about an entire country with thousands of players.
