By artistic, I mean beauty or really nice looking.

Well I would have to say that its between Jackie & Sarah because all of their moves are quick and smooth. I don't play with them as much as I should but I think their combos are sweet and realistic.

Where time is but a loop, A lose stitch in the universal cloth, A streamer might seize upon a chance, A fatal slip, And plunge the fate of planets into Chaos.

On the note of them looking realistic, I think they'd fail to win the 'articistic' mode. I agree with you though -- Jacky is realistic, which I think makes him the most boring character in the game 2nd only maybe to Lau, but it's a close race.

Sarah I don't find particularly exciting, but I guess it depends on who's playing her. One guy I know plays her extremely boring. STRICTLY a Flamingo only player. Flaming->Flip Flop->Flamingo->Sweep->Repeat. I finally get pissed off enough w/ him flip flopping out of everything that I have to get Lei Fei out and Senshippo the tits off of him. /versus/images/icons/smile.gif

Most artistic combos I'd have to say are Lei's, when done properly, and maybe a copule of Shun's new moves. Even though neither are my favorite character, they've got something aesthetic about them.

If we weren't so damn bored of seeing it, and if it were fresh and new again, lau's stuff is very fluid and pretty looking - I'm thinking b,b+P,d+PPPsweep. Or for something a little more original, knife hand - shrieking knife - P - b+P .. then d+PPK for a turn towards knife hand, a jab, and a straight kick.

For combos that look new and fresh and slick, probably a good TFT combo. There's a nice flow to something like d+P+K -> P -> helix -> P -d+P+K,K.

I agree with you about the TFT combos. One of my favorites is [3][3][6]+[K]->[P]->[P]->[6]+[K]+[G]->[6][2][3]+[P].

I still like the good ol' [2_][6]+[P]+[K]->DLC /versus/images/icons/blush.gif . Yeah, it's been weakened, but I'm still somewhat impressed when I see the DLC in slow motion.

i think Pai has some of the best looking moves in the game.

    you can't say that [4]+[P]+[K]+[G] [P] [P] [K] [K] doesn't look nice...
(or did you only mean real combos?)

Was that VF Remix for the Saturn? You junky. Do you have the clip for that Akira combo you mentioned in the "hardest combo" thread?

Lei Fei, no doubt about it. Realistically and artistically, all Lei's series and combos of the Shaolin style kung-fu is derived from a monastic lifestyle of prayer and daily chores, coupled with all manner of harmony with all living creatures and so on, to the point of imulating the motion of waves, the attack of the praying mantis, and even the symbolic balance between yin and yang (I'm talking about the Shaolin system as a whole, the differing styles within the system). So the Shaolin practitioner is a physical construct of an idea, of a being in harmony with his world, while at the same time needing to defend and even kill in order to survive, as the animals do, but out of necessity and never for personal gain. [4][3][P], Lei's most useless move is actually a 3-hit (kind-of) and pretty as anything anywhere in the game. Proof positive.

[4][3][P] while his most useless move, not totally useless. Anyways -- it's been upgraded in Evo. He now takes a step 'into' it if you know what I mean. I've been using it quite a bit.

I think Lei Fei's dancing is the most visualy stunning thing in the game. I've been practing it quite a bit lately, i love the IN to DM to EV and repeat pattern, it looks so fluid when exectued quickly, i also like EV to IN andrepeat patern, also DM to IN and repeat is a silly little step i like to do too.

For me coolest move is Akira´s SPoD. When first attack connects all the opponent can do is watch his ass get blown up by 70p. /versus/images/icons/ooo.gif
