Which character's style do you like the most?

I guess this question could be reworded "Which character would you like to use the most if you didn't have to worry about the learning curve associated with their character?"

This may not be a good question for everyone, but for me, I only use 3 characters: Jacky (main), Vanessa (pretty poorly), Kage (very poorly)

On an end note, I don't know how some people get so good with many characters . . . there is too much shit to know!!

 

I'll try to answer both of em. I'm kinda blowed so i'll probly end up on some other shit lol. Anyways..

I like Eileen's style the most cause she has those moves where she can jump back, up, or slide down mid-string or from whatever else she can do that stuff from. It's hella dope when you duck/jump over/under throws and whatever else if the timing is right. She's hella tricky and her lil triple kick thing in the air is dope.

Plus she walks fast as a mug around the ring (No I don't know how fast a mug is lol). At the beginning of rounds I can just hold back on the stick and simply walk away from damn near anything (even strings) effortlessly and be totally safe. Versus using Akira where you gotta step or throw out moves to get anywhere. As far as I know, you definantly aint back dashing or crouch dashing backwards at the beginning of a round to avoid a Jacky string. You best block or try to evade if you start off backing up hahah (I think/sure you can crouch dash away from SOME stuff, but you gotta be on point like a mug). So that's a real nice lil change after using Akira for so long. I enjoy just walking around the ring and watching cats whiff lol. I could keep going on with why I like using Eileen, but i'm stopping myself here.


Yea that whole learning/remembering someones move list is a.. I don't wanna say downer but.. Well for me Akira has a pretty short move list as does Eileen compared to others (or who i've tried dojo with so far) imo. And it took me a long ass time just to remember Akira's shit. I was just doing elbows and those double air kick things with him for a while (ahh those were the days). I'd always try and remember one extra move and use that one move a lot on top of the elbow and kicks. And so on till I was doing every move he had during one fight Online or in Quest Mode. This all really depends on ones mood though I think, as far as being motivated to sit and go through the move list and try to remember them. Somedays i'm all for it, others I sit at the character select screen n i'm like "man f this, ima just use Akira" lol.


There's only a few others i'd like to learn but don't for x reason.

Lion, he has some dope evasive stuff too and some ill moves n combos. But his voice is keeping me from learning him.

Jacky, Jeet Kune Do for a fighting style, yeaa son. But so many people are using him it seems, and I don't wanna jump on that tip. Maybe in another year or 6 months, f it, tomorrow lol whichever. I'm sure it won't be soon though.

Shun is tricky too, but I don't like his lil azz with his evading hop back move (that one he can attack after) that can go far enough to not get hit by SDE's after blocking a mid from him, his lil 2k that ducks/has priority over every friggin ground move, his dmpk, his "I am invincible" lil hopping back on one foot kicks. Man, I could go on for a while bout this dude hahah. I just don't like the bastard after fighting him some. I hope they get rid of his azz lmao. I mean i'll sqaub with him all day, but shit man wtf lol.

I think this is long enough. I may come back another high night bout some other characters.

 

Jacky and its evident why. I love Bruce Lee. not because i get my ass whipped by him i want to use him.

 

Love to use Wolf because I have a love for using strong wrestler type characters in any FG. SF its Zangief.. GG its Potemkin so on and so forth.

 

For the record i feel VF seriously needs an American Boxer style character where all of his attacks are punches of some sort. It would be interesting.

 

I would rather see a TKD fighter or a San Soo fighter.

I only have 3 characters I'd dare compete with: Jeffry, Shun, and Lau. Personally I don't have any trouble memorizing moves but simply because I know the moves, doesn't mean I have the reaction time to use them. That being said who I'd like to play besides these three?

Akira: Aggressive Akiras are badass. Nothing like an Akira shoving you around the ring. My primary issue with Akira is that my coordination stinks. Plus I use a pad and in his case I think pad use (especially my pad) isn't good at all.

Vanessa: I basically know all her crap but I'm only able to use one stance at a time. When a character has so many moves I really don't know where to begin and get lost in my habit of "using as many moves as possible." People that play my Shun know I use a lot of shit. You might see everyone of Shuns moves in a given match.

Goh: I like Goh a lot, but his highest damaging juggles are insanely hard to me and some are stance dependent. I just don't have the time for him at a higher level of play.

The main thing is that if theres a lot of manual dexterity involved in their inputs I gave up on them.

 

Jacky would be someone I would want to learn,so I could better defend myself against him. I find it funny that people have a hard time learning Vanessa or think her move list is massive. Wolf, Sarah, Lau and Lei r who I would want to pick up but I'm too lazy.

 

I enjoy all the characters I play as.

Most fun are Blaze, Jacky and Lei.

I'd like to learn Kage and probably will at some point.

 

I love using Sarah but Eileen, man I wish I knew how to use her.. but she just doesn't gel with me

 

Akira, his style looks so powerful. Pais is cool. Hwoarangs is amazing (I know) with all the kicks. Lion I enjoy playing as but his style doesn't actually look that awesome.

 

Its impossible to make Lion look great, just a little less gay.

But on the whole, just any character that isn't Sarah. Since Sarah was my main, and who I used when I put the most playing time in the game.

 

El blaze is someone I want to dabble with but dont because I am not bored/that good with Jacky. Lau used to be the guy I went to when I got bored in the older games (1 to 3) and at 4 to present all Jacky for the most part.

 

I think his gayness(I think he's more snobbishness than gay) adds to lions charm. He has more personality than any of the tekken characters(All wannabe akumas with dumb haircuts)

 

I don't find many players outside of Japan finding Lion very charming at all. More like repugnant.

 

But isn't lion's thing is he's twice the man he use to be?
