Oh, and since I don't want to be off topic, this is my ratio:

    on PSN: 1661 wins / 183 loses = 9.07 -> win ratio :90%
    on XBL: 2957 wins / 185 loses = 15.98 -> win ratio: 94%

Long story short, you dc, SNAKE BOSS wins
    You run, SNAKE BOSS wins.
You lose the last game, SNAKE BOSS wins.
If he DC's SNAKE BOSS wins.
You never play him, SNAKE BOSS still wins.
I know it's hard but please get over this Kingo, you're much better player and person than this cum-guzzling retard.

Not sure what the history is between you guys but I just wanted to point out winning once isn't everything - being consistent is what matters. Everyone has days when they mess up so sometimes a player with less skill will beat a better player.

He won once ( I let him win first to make him want to play me more than 1 ranking match) and then the 4 times I was about to rape him, he disconnected before I could finish him off.

I already made it 20-0 when kingo dc on me and ran away from me when I challenged him back when he was a tigerclaw rank.

Don't bother with them, if they want to talk crap about you then just ignore them. Make's them seem like horrible people if it isn't true. If it is true, then let them speak their opinion. Not like their going to come to your house and chase you down with torch's and pitchforks.

VFDC isn't about flaming each other, it's about teaching each other our tricks and techniques about certain characters and getting better. Not to mention having fun while doing it! So if they want to keep being problematic... let them. Key word: Ignore. Not like they can physically hurt you.

CheekyChi is right on the money. Winning Once or even 10 straight does not mean you're necessarily the better player.

I luck up and get the best of some player all the time , in some situations it might take them 4 or 5, 6 or7 etc games to figure out what I'm doing, and then its over LOL, no more wins for me. I play Lei Fei, I use him differently than most Lei Fei players. So when some one plays me for the first few times I often get lucky;) But when I really come up against someone who is much better than me the party is usually over once we pass 9 or 10 matches unless they figure me out right off the bat :)

There is also the case that you might be able to beat me, from time to time, but you're not able to beat all of the ppl that I beat. If you can't consistently beat all of the ppl that I consistently beat you're not a better player than I am.

NOW this is sometimes hard to understand....

If I consistently beat A, B, C, D and then you beat me a couple of times, you cannot assume that you can also beat A, B, C, and D. LOL I'll take it a step further. Let say I consistently beat A, B, C, D and you consistently beat me, you still can not assume that you could consistently beat the ppl that I beat.

    It gets worse.....

If I can consistently beat all of the ppl that you consistently beat,
and you can beat me consistently, but you cannot beat all the ppl I beat consistently,
then I'm still a better player than you (even if you can beat me:p)

The reason is: I can consistently beat all of your foes and all of my foes but you can't consistently beat my foes you can only consistently beat me LOL.

Or put another way,., Even if you can beat me consistently, Its still possible that I can consistently beat more ppl than you can, and even though you beat me , I'm still the better player ....

ROFLMAO, the funny thing is this is true.

Let's put it in terms of Five Animal Kung Fu.

Let's say that I use Tiger style, and I can beat Dragon, Panther, Snake, and Crane. You might be able to consistently beat my Tiger style LOL and lose miserably to Dragon , Panther, Snake and Crane players. So even though you got me figured out and you beat me consistently , I 'm a more well rounded player than you are, because I would win in more circumstances than you!

THE MORAL OF THE STORY BOYS AND GIRLS IS ALL THIS I BEAT U X Number OF TIMES IS BULLSHIT!

I watched some of video (or at least I think I have) and from what I can see, just like most other players Both you cats have still got a lot to learn. Relax, have fun, learn from your losses, don't make to big of deal of your wins (there is always some one who can obliterate you). Learn the game.

Real Talk though, Only cowards disconnect. If you're losing face it like a Man, embrace your loss, don't disconnect, save the replay!!!! and study the tape, see what you did wrong and what your opponent did right! Use every loss to get better, and if you can't get better, use the replay of your loss to truly understand what your limits are. Take it from me, I think I've lost more VF matches than maybe any other player on the planet.

If you play VF long enough you will realize, there will always be someone better than you, and you will always better than someone else, and who those ppl are in both cases constantly change.

And as my daddy use to say its not whether you win or lose, its how you play the game...

My win/loss record? At least in Ranked I have:

3172 total Ranked matches, with 2356 wins and 816 losses (currently)

and most of you know that I mostly host/chill when I'm in Ranked.

This is looking more like when folks in FPS (at least in my COD experience) puff their chest about Kill/Death Ratios. Quite disturbing to say the least.

ANYWAY on topic...ish, someone said that you shouldn't be demoted once you gain a rank. In my opinion, I think it's right for someone to drop if they keep on losing. This hopefully will balance things out and reflect on skill level. But with only over 20,000 online players on Xbox, it's difficult for the ranks to truly reflect skill level as there isn't a big enough players for it to work.

Demotion is fine and if you really do "deserve" your rank you'll get it back. I've been demoted like 7 times. Currently at Tigerclaw.

I got demoted trying (and failing) to play Goh. I don't really care much about the online rankings/win ratio stuff. I usually spend most of my time running back against Cha-mame or RikoJJango, eating loss after loss - it's much more fun to fight people with good connections and strong skills where I feel like I'm working towards getting that one win (it's like trying to beat a Boss fight on an action game where you keep trying and trying 'till you finally get it down), than it is just to sift through laggy one-bars and spammy online warriors just for the sake of grinding out a promotion.

The way I see it, all the people whose opinions matter on this game are on this site, so we all likely know the 'real players' and know roughly how good they are and how much respect they deserve etc - I don't need my PSN online ranking to be higher than someone else's in order to feel like I can say I am better than they are (or conversely, that I can't recognise someone with a lower rank but a higher skill-level than mine).

I mean, just think about what it would be like without rankings or win ratios or anything - we'd all just log on, play whomever we want to play, and enjoy the whole thing (unless you're fighting Elite and his infuriatingly bullshit Kage bullshit gay Kage gay).
