WTF? XBL problems?

Righty, so I'm 7th Dan online at the moment, I was just shy of filling up my ranking bar when I played some guy who was using Brad.

I won the match, no disconnection or anything like that.. The game ran my victory pose, but I noticed my ranking bar had been decreased by almost half and turned red instead of going up.

Anyone have any idea what happened? Because its bugging me a lot.

 

Style is also a factor in the rank bar........

Something similar just happened to me, I'm also 7th dan and I played another 7th and I won, my bar increased to about half. We played a second match, I won, and my bar was barely a quarter full. It's not the first time this has happened, I don't know what's up with it, but it really pisses me off.

 

Your about to get demoted, you lose too many times to hold on to the rank /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif Just get demoted and get over yourself :-D

 

Good news and Bad news:

Bad news, don't really know what happened. Good news, if you are 8th Dan strenght you will get back there regardless. I was one win away from 9th than boom, wind knocks out my power and halves my bar, very irritating. But 2 days and 2-3 hours later i'm a 9th Dan. Over any decent lenght of time the water will find its own depth, if you're not an 8th dan but were about to sneak in off of luck and happenstance it can be very frustrating, but if you are 8th dan quality you'll get back there no problem, not to say that eases the frustration any, b/c i know how irritating it can be.
