Man yesterday I was getting ready to play with my Kage in Kumite, but when I tried to load him up it said that the file had been corrupted. man I was only one more step away from HighKing. This is the second time that this has happened. I know I'm not the only one this has happen to. so can anyone tell me? Is this a system thing that can occur with other games as well, or does this just occur on VF4?

You know that message that appears when your memory card is saving/loading that says "don't remove the card or turn the system off"? It's a really good idea to pay attention to that. There is almost no other way to corrupt a memory card, unless maybe you took a magnet to it.

Well I know for a fact that I have never turned off my PSC with out saving my game first, so maby someone might have taken a magnet to it. I mean my Kage is the only character that messed up. It dosen't make any sense at all though. Last time it was just my Jackie that messed up.

I had the same problem with a corruption on just my Lion. And I've always led the Memory Card save first before powering off etc..

Could a power surge corrupt? I assume there are fuses and such.

If you save to the memory card alot in a short period of time it corrupts the file. If I'm not mistaken that's what it says somewhere in the ps2 manual. This happened to me with my Akira also.
