XBL Gamer Tag: UK listing

Hello everyone.

I don't know if this has been done already here, but I've been using the XBL 'friend of friend' functionality to set up a list of VF5 players.

Basically you become a friend of the silver account I've set up (EGVF5). After you become a friend, you can look at its friends list. Everyone on the friends list has VF5 so it's an easy way to find opponents, but only take one spot on *your* friends list.

I just started this for people at Eurogamer.com, but the VF5 community is small there. I figured this was a better place to find friendly players.

I check the account every day, however I actually play VF5 on a separate account. (Even I'm a friend of EGVF5, so can be found for games.)

EDIT: New to VF with VF5. Started as Lau, got waylaid by single player games fo a bit, now onto Lei Fei.

 

I'm from Nottingham UK, I mainly use Akira but I use Wolf often too. I'm either 3rd or 4th Dan online at the moment, feel free to add me.

I really could do with sparring with a decent Akira player, I think i'm pretty good with him but playing against all those n00bs has messed up my game a little.

So where has everyone gone? I have tried playing at times like 8-10pm weekdays and just now at 1pm on a Saturday afternoon, I am getting nothing but grey icons, it's been a couple of days since I saw a bright green 3 bar connection icon.

I pretty much never host, and only join a game with a 2 or 3 bar green icon. Now maybe this is a bit selfish because if everyone did it then there would be no games, but then again it also means both players should get a decent connection when I do actually play. I am wondering if more and more people are doing this, and that's why it has become so hard to find a UK-based game now - everyone is searching and nobody is hosting? Or have people just lost interest already?

 

I don't host because I get japs joining me for some reason. Surely they see the grey? I just stick to searching too.

My tag is in my sig and I'm from the UK.

Its just a temporary tag which I made just before the patch come out to try and find good games and make friends, since it was crap post patch. I'm not a bad player, nothing special either, just love playing beat em ups. I have beaten some players I would say were pretty good, but at the same time I can lose to newbies because of my impatience. At the moment I use Blaze, Brad, Sarah, Akira and Lei, and plan on learning at least 5 or more characters. I play players matches more or less exclusively and I like to change characters every few games.

 

I've been playing VF for a while on my friend's PS3, only got a 360 and the gamy myself this week though - also picked up a Hori stick on account of the utterly abominable 360 pad (for VF at least) so I'm still getting used to that, and being whooped pretty regularly.

My main chars are Shun and Aoi, I sometimes play Vanessa, Goh, Lei, Sarah and Lion though.
