XBL POST UPDATE

I'm at work and have heard some discouraging reports.
Please post your experience with online play so far, post update.

 

It constant froze during loading screens for me.

 

The extereme lag is subsiding I beleive but its still freezing some when I go to host or leave a match.

 

Are these freezings all happening during the loading screens, is this utter devastation to the ranking bars

translation: should i avoid ranking matches tonight for fear of having my beautiful 3/4 of a ranking bar maliciously halved?

Quick update:

Played my bro some player matches the other night (we live 2 hours apart form one another)
for the first session we had 1 bar connection.
quit, switched charactars and had 3 bars second time.

Dont know what to make of that but, it is what it is.

 

I played several games last night with spectacular connections. The only sub-par connection was with Deathsushi, and he's in another country from what I remember.

 

Im on now and it feels realy smooth for me like im playing someone else with fios. theres lag but not like before...
maybe they are compatible now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

I just stumbled upon this thread and now I know I'm not alone. This has happened to me a few times and twice it resulted in losing my rank meter. I'm still not sure however if it was due to the XBL update or if someone pulled on me.

Furthermore, None Other and I played a rank match the other day and during the first or second round it abruptly disconnected us and he lost his rank meter. We live no more than 30 miles from each other and were even commenting on how good our connection is, and then that shit happened.

I'm pretty sure the recent XBL update has caused some problems. A couple friends and I who also live close to me can't even play Worms multiplayer anymore. I can play anyone else online just fine, but not my two friends. I can't figure it out.

Also does anyone know what the recent VF5 update was for?

 

What recent update? I was on last night for about 30 minutes and didn't see any update.

Any way I signed on few days ago and it was just lagtastic... Even against people I normally have full bars with. After 2 games I just quit! I tried a again the next day and the results were slightly better but more so the same. I even experienced the random kicking from matches that some of you speak of. Obviously it's probably something to do with the new XBL update gearing up for next month's NEW XBL EXPERIENCE. While I am very excited about this update, you would think after 5+ years MS would get updating there online service right because every time there is a XBL update ALL players across the board have to suffer for days, sometimes weeks before multi player matches start working right again.

 

I know there have been occasions in various games where I receive an update but my friends do not. I can't remember if Boyd said he got the latest one for VF or not. Either way, I don't notice a difference.

Also last night something similar to None Other and my problem happened again with Air Jacky. I found him for one match in ranking and then after that I couldn't find him again. I called him and told him he was a puss, and he said what the hell, I was waiting for you to join for like three minutes.

This brings up another problem, I don't think anyone can see me host. I've left the screen up for 15 minutes before without anyone joining. XBL support of course tells me everything is find from what they see. And none of my settings have ever changed. AHHHHHHHHHH!!!
