Xbox Live Reputation

I'm loving every aspect of this game, however I checked out my "rep" on Xbox Live and it actually says that some players "avoid" me for whatever reason. To be perfectly clear and up-front, I don't talk trash, nor have I ever quit early (I wouldn't compromise the integrity of good competition). With that said, I'm not too concerned because I'm sure it's just players that get frustrated when they lose close matches, and probably blame it on one of my combos that I used more than once (cheese?), but I'm just curious if anyone else has noticed their "rep" affected by playing VF5 online? Also, I should note that I'm not that good at all, but I finish every match no matter how incredibly bad I'm getting crushed... which is often (ranked record: 100 wins / 107 losses).

lol yea I recently checked out my rep and was surpirsed aswell. And I'm like you I don't trash talk, I mean I'll rarely use a cussword and I don't quit early.

I do get into arguements though when some idiot realises my gamertag is arabic and goes on a tirade about this and that.

 

SF2 tanked my rep more than any other game. (People must hate Guile lock down.) It's not really worth bothering over. Tends to get skewed quickly since most people don't bother preferring a player.

 

I know what you mean the last time I checked my rep half of the people I played against said I was unsporting, I am thinking that means I really suck compared to them or then again alot of the people I play against are japanese and I heard it mentioned here that they don't like it when you jump on them when they are down or go for ground throws. I learned when play the AI to do all I can to win even if it means I have have to take advantage of a downed foe because if I don't they will use those tactics on me. Whether or not it is because of my ruthless tactics or my lack of skill compared to these other guys I don't know but half of the people I play again see me as unsporting and I am trying to figure out why.

yes, I have the same problem as far as bad ratings. I don't even use the headset, so I can only assume it's people I whooped on who want to avoid me by making me unpreferred... In the end, fuck ratings, but it makes ranking mode harder when people you can beat are avoiding you...

Well, I'm guessing that giving out crappy player reviews is what make some people feel better about their losses... we can't change 'em, nor can we stop them from buying this great game... thanks for all of the replies confirming what I thought...

 

Yeah since, i've been playing VF5 somehow it says 50% of the games I quit early but I can't remember ever quitting....

 

I happened to check mine tonight and it said "10% of players avoided you" but nothing was listed under details. The thing is, I have never checked my rep before since I had my 360 so I don't know if it came from VF5 or not. I thought maybe it was this El Blaze player who I whooped on really bad. At the end of the second round, I ground him down to a sliver and he ran back to the edge and rung himself out. When the third round started, I came out swinging, got some good licks on him and his life bar went down to about half. Then he just stopped moving. It kinda freaked me out so I stopped moving and the time ran out. If he was lagging, would I have been able to tell? When I connected to him it was full green and all the rounds seemed fine to me.

 

I have terrible rep from call of duty 4. I don't have a headset so I can't trash talk, but people REALLY hated how I used the grenade launcher with the explosive feat so I have a 50 percent avoidance rate.

Also some people in street fighter didn't much enjoy my dhalsim I imagine.

 

Every time I buy a new game and I'm good at it my rep takes a hit, worst of all was CoD4. Not sure why but I was just naturally good at it from the start. It just felt perfect for me...saying that though I don't even play it anymore.

 

I didnt have a mic for two weeks. I decided to pick one up on pay day. So anyways I get home and decide to check my rep. And there it is, negative feedback for trash talking WTF'?????? People are screwed up. If you just dont like me for whatever reason do like I do. Player review, avoid, too good. Dont screw me over cause I dont screw anyone else over. Cept fot that guy I quit on about a month ago.

 

I guess my horrible rep is really stick to me hard, I was just playing and yet opponent were so hard to find that it wasn't funny. I only play one 2 random players not in ranking matches after picking the quick match what seemed to be 20 or 30 times. It had almost as hard a time getting ranked matches. There has to be away to offset the nasty 67% avoidance rate I have.

 

Its not 50% of the time its 50% of the people that complained so you could have 2 bad feedbacks which 1 that was quit early...

 

Wow I just checked my rep and it says like 50% avoided me. I'm thinking it's just random sorry scrubs who I don't care about anyway since I never pull or talk shit, and both those are listed as some reasons I was avoided. I tell you, there's way too many sorry losers online who can't take a beating cause I know that's the reason I was avoided.

 

You can't actually select to avoid someone because they are too good, can you?

-40% agression (WTF)
-20% unfair behaiviour (WTF)
-15% bad language (WTF)

It's kinda shitty, i never waqs agressive, and never said any bad word on xbox live. Uh, maybe 2 or 3 times, but it wasnt an offence. I think, that ppl that lost with me are so jealous and give me that points. Its very unfair /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

70% of the people I played in VF avoided me...makes me sad. I'm really friendly!!!

 

Wait, you can see your rep PER GAME??!! I mean you can check how many players avoid you in VF5, then in COD4 etc? Or is it a overall rep?
