I'll spare you my initial impressions (in a word, "wow"), but is anyone translating the Training Mode (and A.I.) stuff?

I took some screen caps (which I'll probably be posting sometime later today) for people to translate and / or add the translation in the pic like this one site did for Tobal 2... Also, I think I'll put up a pic of the Japanese numbers. I just did that "Alt + Print Scrn" thing on a post on PSO World... ^ ^

And jeez, this is the best training mode yet, combining the best parts of the PSX DoA 1 and the later Tekken games! Definitely more motivation to play...

I might do this later today. I can't read japanese for shit, but I 'get' the point behind every training trial, so it'd be easy enough to scribble it down on a notebook and post here. Everything else in the game ... you can wing it.
The hard part is having to redo trial for every character, since some parts are different for some characters. Aieee@!#@! If there's a specific trial you can't figure out, post it here.

The trial that pissed me off was when my Lau was supposed to knock down Sarah with K and then either backdash to avoid, or block her mid rising kick and punish it with a throw. I don't find that to hard, but in the demonstration all she did was get up with kkk. But when I do it lotsa times she'll get up with d+kkk or just get up with nothing. I wind up failing because it counts all the d+kkk's against me.

I started knocking her down with p+g because she doesn't have the d+kkk option from how she is grounded after that, but then she started rolling away and getting up straight, or low kicking. I was only failing cuz Sarah wouldn't behave like the demonstration. ack

There was another that I couldn't do, where I couldn't even tell what the point is, but I'll have to go home to look up which one it was.

Huh, I did fine in that trial. The trick is you stick close for half a second to 'encourage' the rising kick, then back dash with fairly good timing to make sure it whiffs. I had a LOT easier time doing d/f+P+K (you're right next to her the instant she hits the floor) and so you know she'll do the rising attack. You have a ton of time to backdash out of the way. So try d/f+P+K.
