I got my name from boxing and being such a gamer and kung-fu fanatic, they called "ShinobiFist" Can't see see the punches coming, lol. Tony has a different meaning to my name, don't belive him, lol.

I was a Steve Fox player back on Tekken 5 when I used to play all the time, and I needed a mildly clever pun for the purposes of my IC card.

When I got VF4 for ps2 it asked for a nickname for quest character, so I took one from a character in Kabuki clash thinking it sounded cool. I held onto that nick ever since. I came across kabuki clash at a small downtown arcade back in those days, arcade is now long gone.

Way back in the days of olde I played an unhealthy amount of Phantasy Star Online.

I joined a forum (The PSOTavern) run by HuBBsDoctor (aka: FightClubHuBBs).My username on this forum was "Posiedon", which is the Greek god "Poseidon" spelled incorrectly.

The reason I chose Poseidon was because I was really into Greek Mythology at the time, particularly the pantheon of god. Poseidon was my favourite god.

Anyway, on this forum a member got access to Gmail something or others when they were new.

I asked for him to send me an invite and he did.

It was addressed to a Mr Po Siedon.

I thought "That looks pretty cool!"

    I swapped the I & E and BOOM.

    There you have it.

I have had a few other handles before I set on Seidon.

But they are stories for another time...

Wait, is that Urotsukidoji (sp?) you're talking about?

My mate John rented it when we were still at school and we watched it, very fucking bizzare movie.

I vaguely remember a guy growing like 100 cocks which were gargantuan and smashed through a building and proceeded to shoot lasers and absorb people.

    My head hurts...

    True + sonicfan - fan = Truesonic.

Name Truesonic was already taken on live so I updated to Truesonic2k, to be honest I'm probably gonna change that name.

back in the vf2 days, japanese players would choose their ring names by using the city they play in or live in and their main character. For example, ikebukuro sarah, shinjuku jacky, kashiwa jeffery, etc. So during vf2, akira was my main and I decided to go with L.A. Akira.

Haha, whoa, this also applies to my Dominican culture. It's Fulano for us but sometimes we add other stuff like:
Fulano De Tal (John Doe From/Of Wherever/Whatever)
    Fulanito (Lil John Doe)
I'm guessing we got it from you guys since my people are really mixed from so many different countries that invaded. There's a lot of Dominicans that look Middle Eastern.

Tony: Nickname. Got it from kids that I use to babysit when I was a teenager. They couldn't get my name right which, in Spanish, is pronounced Ah-doe-nees. The kept calling me Doe-nee, lol. I use to love Kellog's Frosted Flakes back then and after a while they just started calling me Tony, like the tiger maybe bc the saw me eat so much of it.
It stuck around the neighborhood and I liked it.

Familia is my real last name.

I attended the University of Kentucky, and everyone always called me Diddy..apparently I look like the guy. I was attending a concert one day, and had on a suit and my sunglasses, and a guy actually stopped his car, and yelled "Diddy!" in pure amazement at me. Ever since then, I just adopted the nickname, and added UK to the front of it to represent my college...even though I hated college.

Heh, I always wondered what your real name is Tony /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

    Well... Griever, wow, that's original.
When most of the ppl were hyped about FF7 I was one of the few that hadn't played it yet. I decided to go for FF8 as it was the only one I could get for PC at that time (In Poland at least).

After I started playing and found the summon Odin, that became my nick. After I finished the game, I decided that a Lion-ish summon Griever, as well as his symbol, looked a lot more cool.

That's how I was stuck with it. Sometimes my friends call me Griev (not grief, griev, with a strong V at the end), so sometimes I use that as well.

... sometimes... if Griever/Griev/etc. are taken, I use Suavol, which is a "fonetic-ish" for how friends call me, based on my real name: Slawomir.

I am Canadian, but my family is mostly from Wales (I hold a Euro passport as well).

Llanfair is the first 2 syllables from the name of a town in Wales who's full length is 58 letters. In 1993, I taught some friends how to pronounce the whole thing over many beers one night at the on campus pub. The shortened version became a nickname ever since really.

    Full name of town: Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch

    Crazy, I know. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif
