Could Yu Suzuki be in talks with Sega for another Virtua Fighter? It would be his return to the franchise since leaving the position of director after Virtua Fighter 4. Yu Suzuki has remained in touch with Sega as a special consultant since leaving the company to form his own YSNet in 2011. More recently, YSNet was given the rights to develop Shenmue III from Sega as well, so the two companies have been in communication.
Do you think Sega and AM2 might be reaching out to the series original director for a potential sequel? Could there be a translation in error or wishful thinking on the part of Yu Suzuki? How different would a modern VF be under Suzuki instead of the current lead? Let us know in the comments below!
