Home
This is the site's front end. Every section on VFDC can be accessed
from here. At a glance you'll see the latest News and Media
postings. In the left hand side navigation bar, you'll notice a
quick login form to the Forums. If you're already logged in then
you'll be greeted with a welcome message, a link to "My Home" and
notification of any unread private messages.
The left hand side navigation bar also includes links to the games
featured on VFDC. These currently are Virtua Fighter 3 and Virtua
Fighter 4. The game headings are linked to the System section,
under which you'll find all system related information, documents
and FAQs. Under the game headings are the Character links, which
take you to the Character section for that game. There you'll find
all Character specific information like guides, FAQs and Command Lists.
Forums
The forums are separated into three major content types. Versus
City contains the
main forums where discussions about gameplay, tournaments, media,
non-English discussion and non-VF topics are located. The Help
Center forums focus more on helping new players learn the game, and
discussions here include training & command motions, accessories
and tips for the Dreamcast/PS2 versions of VF, and a forum devoted
to everything about Kumite mode on VF4 PS2. The last category is
Administration; this is where the admins & mods will post news and
updates regarding the site.
Media
You will find the best links to websites that have VF clips for
download here. VF clips include matches, tournament clips, and
other VF-related multimedia. We will include notes about what the
site is centered around, and will include new sites as they become
known to us. VFDC currently cannot directly host any media.
Events
This section of the site is the archive for all tournament and
gathering reports that have been made in the past few years for
VF2, VF3 and VF4. Any new tournaments/gatherings in the future that
have reports will eventually be added here.
Chat
One of the best places to chat with other VFers live is on IRC,
more specifically, channel #VFHOME on EFnet. Technical details
about using an IRC client to accomplish that are detailed here.
Links
You will find links to the best all-around VF sites on the web
here. This includes general VF sites, foreign (e.g. Japanese/Korean
sites), and any other sites deemed a useful resource for VFers.
