Famitsu Translations : Extras

All information copyrighted by SEGA AM2 and unknown name of booklet.

Translation by Sitson Lee (eflower@engsoc.carleton.ca)
               Shuntaro Eguchi

Here are a few extras that I got Shuntaro to translate from a small
"reference" booklet he got somewhere while in Japan. It was a while back
when the translation was done, so the stuff is kinda vague from just
reading my notes.

Again, Shuntaro Eguchi deserves a lot of thanks for translating even
though he had trouble experessing some jargon in English. The plus side
is, I got him to learn a lot of the common names of the moves in english,
and he's continually improving by coming out for a drink when we don't go
Vfing.

It's these intricate additions that I hope will revitalize our urge to
reach a higher level of VF3 gameplay and hopefully breed more new talent.

Pai
===
After her b,d+PG -> f,f+P,K is guarenteed and if your yomi skills are
good, go for a K interrupt!

Use d/b+KG (quick sweep) to catch opponents after much mid conditioning.

Wolf
====
d/b+P (stagger) -> knee (if opponent is unstable)
                -> throw otherwise (ones that you can followup a ground
					throw after)

f,SRC,b+P -> knee
	    -> throw

They suggest that f,b+P is a good move against E-ing opponents.

Jeffery
=======
Most of the stuff is covered in the Famitsu translations.
An extra for Jeff is the suggested use of f,b+P against E-ing
opponents.

Jacky
=====

P+K (MC), P  -> kickflip float

F+PP,f+P,K is *STANCE* dependant! I assume Jacky should be in in OPEN
stance such that the elbow of the combo has more range to connect as a
canned combo.

PP,u+P (MC) -> kickflip float! (Closed stance only)

Lion
====

[Low throw character's warning!]
d/b+PP -> d/b+PP will result Lion in a *STANDING* position.

I think this means, if you block the second set of d/b+PP's you should
HIGH throw Lion if you are playing a character with low throw options!

I hope you players out there would confirm this assumption of mine and
post any details.

Aoi
===

Here's a special treat for Aoi players!
u+K (MC) -> throw (guaranteed!)

On the lines of this if the knee of a PPPK connects, but does not
knockdown the oppponent. Aoi is guaranteed a throw opportunity so go and
pratice your 3 dan throw! Credits to Jo Shun who told me this first.

f,f,PK(MC) -> d/b+K -> ground chop  (This one is a no brainer, maybe I
					should of left this one..)

Taka
====

A 4 hit float.

Have you ever noticed after a f,f+P (MC) you just tag on the PP after as a
canned combo for a float and then think in vain for another followup while
the opponent is sky high in the air but everytime you try, you just whiff
or just too late?

Try, f,f+P(MC),PP -> d/f+P

I'm sure there's more potential float combos after the f,f+P(MC). But
you can figure that out yourself. I'm gonna take a breather and try out
some stuff in Toronto this reading week break.

Shuntaro is waiting for his friends in Japan to mail him special edition
magazines for VF3. Perhaps when he gets the Gamest ACT2 we can do some
translating again.

In the meantime, go and explore the possiblities of VF3!
