Sarah Bryant Dojo
One of the complaints leveled at Sarah in VF3 is that she was a flat
character, without much upside depth, and underpowered relative to other
characters. In VF4, Sarah retains much of what she had in VF3 but was
given a new stance and a whole host of moves with it. Sarah is essentially
a flow chart attacking character while in her Flamingo stance and a poking
character otherwise. To be good at Sarah, one must understand her moves,
their properties, and the flow chart options available. The better Sarah
player is one with precise but quick control.
WARNING / DISCLAIMER:
This Dojo is applicable primarily to Version B of Virtua Fighter 4, the
version in most arcades outside of Japan. The PS2 version of VF4 is Version
C, which is the version dominant in Japanese arcades. There are many subtle
differences between both versions, so in applying the information in this
Dojo to the PS2 version requires a grain of salt. Also, please keep in
mind that this Dojo was written when frame statistics were not published.
Be on the lookout for an upgraded Version C Dojo soon, hopefully. ice-9,

Huge thanks to all the Sarah players at Versus City--Adio, Robyrt, Yupa,
and Vansen--and at Bugis Junction. Further thanks to Hiro of New York
for translating parts of the Red and Black Book, and for his advice on
play in general. Also, thanks to TBZone for some of the combos, Virtua
Project for some of the move's names, and Mr. Bungle for collating the
counter material.. Also many thanks to the folks at Arcadia and Softbank
for providing the Red and Black Book respectively.

About the Author
My name is Jeffrey Yuwono, but my Internet alias is "ice-9."
I have not been playing VF4 long, but I am a dedicated VF3 player with
a competitive playing knowledge of all the characters. I am traditionally
known as a Kage player, which I am actually trying to shake as I see myself
more as an all-around player with a special affinity for the ninja (he
was the character I first picked, from the very first VF1). If you have
any feedback, questions, or insights into VF4 Sarah, please do not hesitate
to e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
