I could swear that its possible (at least in ver. B) to struggle out of the SJK quite easy, but if the opponents get used to the no-brainer double palm too much and dont bother struggling, why not go for some extra damage. If the opponent doesnt struggle well, the SJK combos are quite easy to do.

Didn't want to make my own thread so...

A great combo if you happen to be by a wall. Every Akira player should have this in their arsenal. It's just a friggin life drainer even without the knee.

You can also do the falling dblplm (214+P/236+P) after the jab which is just 3 frames slower but will gauruntee the follow up [4][3][P] to dblplm if the falling dblplm hits. Some times after the jab they will be back turned instead of side turned and the last two hits of the SpoD won't come out. The falling dblplm is the original combo that I saw from someone in a video a long time ago. I'll take credit for the SpoD one lol. Nah, i'm sure they were doing this one too, just the palm is gaurunteed to let you finish if it connects vs SpoD, so it's wiser to do that one instead.

Anyways, it IS actually a combo if done at the right distance for both follow ups after the jab. I tried it in dojo with fastest struggle recovery on with Van and Aoi. Even if it's not at the "perfect distance" to be a legit inescapable combo, it seems pretty dam tough to struggle out of. Kinda of like struggling out of Akira's trip throw before the dblplm hits you. I've done these combo's countless times online and no one has ever struggled out of it against me. But how many people struggle out of the trip throw? Not many, cept the cpu on expert. They struggle fast enough to evade the dblplm lol. But notice how fast the SpoD connects after the jab, there seems to be very little time to recover.

Dude decided to stroll around the ring for the last two rounds and that's how this particular one got set up for me. This combo works best when you are closest to the wall and the opponent is a lil bit or even kinda far away from it. In fact, the farther they are from the wall the better maybe even, since you'll pull em in even closer into the wall when you evade up or down for the reverse bodycheck. As you can see, she is pretty far away from the wall i'm pulling her into while I am pretty close to it. If you pause it at :09 seconds, that's about the ring position you want you and your opponent to be in so your shrm and jab will connect. Also if you notice, while Akira pulls her/the opponent in, he backs up a pretty good amount. So don't be afraid to step foward some and grab em.

    <object width="560" height="340"> <param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/nA8DYi-pEvA"></param> <param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param> <embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/nA8DYi-pEvA" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="560" height="340"> </embed></object>

If the positions are reversed or it looks like they're too far to hit em with a shrm, it's possible to singlepalm them into the wall then follow up with a SpoD. (never tried falling dblplm before) And yes I know this can be struggled out of. But if they can't, you can get some nice damage out of it. And if they can struggle fast enough, then just use some Yomi after the palm [IMG] A high gaurd break to Yoho is gaurunteed if the Yoho is done immediately after the gaurd break, so if they like to block high after struggling, Yoho is a good option, or a simply throw em.

You have to be sure they hit the wall some after the pull in throw to reverse bodycheck for the singlpalm to connect or they'll be too far away and you'll whiff. They don't have to smother it, but the more the better. Them hitting the wall after reverse bodycheck doesn't make them stumble or nothing, they just won't travel as far away from you.

    Here's an example.

Here's a few matches against some random players. I usually only get to/limit myself to save a match if the person leaves, then they don't have to wait for me. And that's what these are, but I thought they were aight and had some aight lil moments.

After the pull-in throw to shrm, it seems a SpoD will suck in a [P] and [2][P] if they decide to go for one of those and done right away, by both players I guess lol. Seen in round 4.

Pretty cool ending on this one. And I love how the 2nd round ended with the last hit of the [2][K]+[G],[K],[6]+[P] slaming him into the water lol. Love it.

Aight lil match, thought the ending of this was funny too.

Fastest round ever? For me it was. 5 n a half seconds.

I thought this was cool. Dude did a DLC and I evaded and did a bodycheck and we both bodychecked at the exact same time and whiffed. I dunno why I waited till the end for the slo-mo part. Either way, was still cool.

I know this can be struggled out of easy, but I still thought it was tight lol.

If you get a standing doublepalm through with opponents back to the wall, a simple followup [P][K] (wallhit) -> [IMG][6][P]+[K] did more damage iirc than the bouncecombo with [4][3][P]. Also if they cant exact tech after the shoulder, you may get a groundpunch or at least good okizeme afterwards.

Yes, [2][1][4][P] or SPoD after wallstagger can be struggled and its not even particularly hard (depends on distance though). In certain cases wallstaggers have guaranteed followups (example: Wolf [1][P]+[G] opponent to wall at maximum distance, [6][P] cannot be struggled out of)

Were you playing online? Cause SPoD should win.

Yea it was online. And the SpoD did win, the second time I did the pull-in throw to shrm, then did the SpoD without moving. So not sure if you saw the right part or, if you mean something else.. Not sure exactly what the Kage player went for, I try and pause it but I can't tell what he was going for. I'm guessing [P][P]. Sometimes it looks like a throw attempt, can't tell. I'm leaning towards [P] though.

And yea, you're right about the distance thing for the wall, sometimes they/you can recover very quickly, other times it takes a sec.

Here's a video of me doing it in Dojo with the cpu on fastest recovery. I do the trip throw a few times to show it's not on random recovery. Not sure bout the specs on it all, sometimes the jab seems to make em kinda "crumple stagger?" dunno how to explain it, and other times it they recover fast enough to dam near block another jab. (or maybe they can, haven't tried lol)

Thanks. And yea, I checked the replay inputs on that match and he went for a throw escape. So it seems SpoD will suck that in too after a pull-in shrm.

I'd like to be able to save and up more vids but like I said, I only really save a match if someone leaves cause finding people to play is hard. I don't mind waiting a min. but some others do and I don't want to risk it.

I'd like to upload some loses too. I get shit on by well timed jabs and good spamming ability mixed with throws. Trying to get better at reading strings so I can interrupt with SDE for some good CH damage.

I was playing TWP last night and man he was eating me up with them p/2p's mixed with throws. I would try to sabaki them but he would never do the p/2p when I thought he would lol. Even though he was doing them a lot (which I love) I could never really tell when they were coming which in turn made me off balance as fuck lol. I would always be a split second to late from waiting for more hits to come out then get stuffed by the Ali (that's a jab) when trying to drop a bow on em. Woulda liked to save n upload a bunch of them.

Hah, cool Feaucha. If you want to save something with me no sweat. I do have a time limit generally just be quick lol! Numbers was savin on me the other day and its a bit of a jarring experience at first but then I realized I could sneak in some drinks in between.

My Goh is mad p/2p heavy true, because of that I TRY to not be predictable. I can't juggle with Goh worth shite so it's all throws/staggers/knockdown pressure.

Cool mang i'll keep that in mind.

And yea bro keep that play up man, it's hurtin me, bad lol. But i'm lovin trying to get through it. I play some Eileen and that's all I got almost is the jab, mid, double mid or double jab to throw mix up game. It works really good when done right and VS me you was doin the dam thing lol. Making me look like an amature. It's almost like that's all one really needs. But yea man keep it comin for sure.

Also come to think of it, there's PLENTY of times I get worked in the last match i.e. when I play someone with standards and lose. Or just simply when someone has to leave. I'm trippin thinking every last match I play is a win lol. Just that the main ones I would like are usually during a session.

This is kinda that advance+fuzzy thing I was talking bout in the BG's section. Happens after the K.O. It's the only video I have saved of me doing it.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rdk4zld74jM

I've been trying to get good at doing this for a while to try and advance, block and not get thrown by dem zero frame throws and having his shrm n single buffered all at the same time. If one could get it to be in between how it first started and how it ended (or maybe just how it started out), I think it'd be a pretty cool thing to be able to do.

It may seem pointless, but I think if one got real good at that, you could be standing next to someone or simply just trying to get close and you could be fuzzying constantly. I was mainly trying to learn it so I could move in closer and block at the same time since I was always getting hit a lot by mids when trying to dash foward or step my way foward only to be hit with a half/full circular. And sometimes i'd get thrown cause (i'm guessing) the other person had that in mind for their offense cause they guessed i'd block when I got in range/when they dashed foward to meet me half way, or they we're simply trying to escape a throw they thought I was gonna do.

Either way, it's something ima keep trying to work on and just wanted to share it. Us Akira players gotta stick together man lol [IMG]

Also, Plague the edit ninja ftw. Thanks for doing that for me in my post with the wall combo at the top of this page, appreciate it.

EDIT: Basicly, I think it'd be usefull just to be able to fuzzy twice or a few times in a row.
