does this mean we're gonna get alot more lag games? not sure if i'm gonna enjoy this, maybe sega should patch the game with worldwide and region select. i'm all up for playing top japanese players, but heavy lag might kill the fun for me. is the lag really bad against asia?

 

I played him last night. I took the first round and then lost three straight /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

 

So far many mixed results. But a lot of "good/playable" connections thus far.

I'm not sure what it depends on though.

 

I'm sure most of the best players are just going to keep going to the arcades anyway, doesn't seem that exciting to me. Online play hasn't caught on the same way over there as it has in the US.

 

Who is neotower?? He was SOOO out of my league! I couldn't touch him. Got a couple rounds though. I need more training against basic Eileen's first.

 

All matches against JP players was great, if not better than US matches. Only one was laggy. Even grey bar matches were clear.

 

Yeah, there are tons of Japanese players on nowadays. I was on late last night and almost every time I searched it showed 99% japanese players, so I hope xbox360 catches on over there. Almost everyone is super good at not freezing up, so it's great matches.

 

I'll bring my list after work tonight (it's still on my 360 after all). The one GT that jumped out at me to the point I can remember it here is "TIBITA".

I'm happy that Asia got the release, but for me the games aren't really too playable. For the most part I get 1 bar or a gray bar. Definitely laggy but I guess playable if you don't mind half a second delay.

 

Keep in mind guys that besides the greats, a ton of NORMAL people play VF in Japan. Not everyone will be zomg unbelievable. I'm sure there are a ton of casual VF JP players in the mix.

 

I don't know. I've been getting bad lag indicators pre-match. Once the match is actually underway, it handles like a dream. It's weird.
