Oh god, that came out during SF4 Vanilla. I used to laugh at that so much. Thanks for reminding me.

 

Pretty much all of the VF references that's in this anime. Except for in the first few scenes in the first episode after the opening, where the two girls are playing VF, doin some Pai vs Sarah action.. They even have a lil VF tournament clip! I love this anime by the way, lol. Too bad there was never a second season Would've loved that.. The creator must be a fan of VF though

Just wanted to show a little bit of old-school DOA, as the very first version(DOA 1: Arcade) of the game was more or less a combination of Virtua Fighter 2 and Fighting Vipers(Due to Sega allowing Tecmo to use the Model 2 board). Another unique similarity to VF in this first version of DOA, was that it actually had ring outs, just like VF. Although this was a feature that still hasn't returned for any of the following sequels/updates:

Such an awesome anime. Action, feels, great characters, hilarious and the story is really well written. I just got into it a few months ago. It started in 1999, and still has 8 more years to go. 667 episodes so far. Highly recommended.

 

So i was playing Skies Of Arcadia and found out this... xD

 

Wow, is that one of the recruits you can do a mission for and they join your crew? Why would he stay and work on the ship? Wouldn't you want Lion fighting with the main characters lol? Maybe that would speed up the tedious drawn out fights in that game.
