Ultimate Showdown has been out for a month and events are occurring more frequently. Just this past weekend we have 7 organized events from all over the world! Here is a summary of the various events with links to brackets and videos.

In a recent episode of Harada's bar "Come, Virtua! I've waited 11 years!", Tekken director and producer Katsuhiro Harada shares his thoughts on the recent announcement and release of Virtua Fighter x esports (Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown in the West). This episode includes English subtitles and provides some deep insights into his views on the Virtua Fighter series, the tremendous respect for the long standing rivalry with the Tekken series, and ultimately what you can do to change the future for the 3D Fighting Game genre -- play VF!

Sega has released a new trailer for Virtua Fighter x esports,this time showcasing the "Legendary Pack" DLC package that will be made available.

Less than two hours ago, Sega live-streamed an announcement and in depth look at the upcoming Virtua Fighter x esports (Or Ultimate Showdown, as it's known outside Japan). The full stream lasted just over an hour and we have an in-depth breakdown of the main points covered.

The Hit Confirm, with Casey and Coach, Episode 20 features VFDC's @Tricky to discuss the Virtua Fighter community as well as the renewed energy and interest in the game.

Yuzumo Design's next project is a fan book called "SEGA60" to celebrate SEGA's 60th Anniversary. You may remember Pin from Yuzumo Design when he reached out to the international VF community during the production of Virtua Fighter Heatwave - a fan book celebrating VF's 25th Anniversary - which included interviews from a number of VFDC members. This time around, Pin is now reaching out to any and all fans of SEGA to help with this next project with stories, photos, cosplay, fan art, and more!

The 17th VFR Beat-Tribe Cup took place on Saturday 23 March 2019 in Tokyo, Japan in collaboration with Toushinsai and was streamed live via their Twitch channel. The entire 12 hour archive has been sliced up, translated, timestamped and served up for your consumption below! Additionally, there's a whole bunch of stats and trivia you might like to check out, too.

Shizawa Corp's twitter account (https://twitter.com/SHIZAWAcorp) has been tweeting out photographs of new vending machines featuring original Virtua Fighter character models, apparently commissioned by Sega! There are a number of designs up on the twitter account so far, with most of the characters from Virtua Fighter being represented! Hit the jump to see the rest.

VF3TB Battle Movies is an amazing video resource for all the VF3 Team Battle fans out there! It has been put together by twitter user @BUTANIKU and on there you'll find carefully curated playlists from famous, historical VF3TB tournaments and current ones too, as well as video channel links to popular Game Centers (Arcades) and players that still carry the VF3TB torch!

You may be aware of the many Virtua Fighter references in pop culture, but did you know what influence VF had on the making of Ghost in the Shell? From the GITS director himself, Mamoru Oshii-san: "When people ask about Ghost, I actually think of VF2."
