A new year so let's try again to summarize the VF tournaments/events around the world! We celebrate the new year with a massive 5-person online team tournament organized by Tetsuko's Room. January 2022 also marked the beginning of the 2nd Challenge Cup series and North America had its first major offline event at the Frosty Faustings!

2nd Dengeki Cup - January 28, 2022 (Japan online) - 15 players were invited to participate in this single elimination online tournament. The 16th spot was determined immediately before the start of the main event, using the in-game tournament mode. This format follows similarly to the 1st Dengeki Cup which was won by Kiisu (Blaze). For the 2nd Dengeki Cup, Umecchi (Eileen) not only won the qualifier, but also won the entire event! An impressive performance by the former Star Player.
