That VF4 Evo Glossary is somethig that I always wanted to write but since I posted that In-game Guide I couldn't even find time to play VF... /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif.

The docs better not be there when the site comes back up. I didn't give you any permission to make them available. All it takes is to ask, I've never denied any of the requests. Of course you won't get a permission now - not that my docs matter so much, it's just the matter of principles.

As far as I can see your FAQ is not REPRODUCED nor PLACED on my website. On my site there are only LINKs to some of your docs (that are on VFDC) with info that they were written by YOU. And your disclaimer doesn't say a word about LINKING so I didn't asked for your permission.

Of course if you don't want that I will delete all links to your FAQ's. Happy?? I hope.

Ive been thinking about it more and more and i think a wiki will eliminate a lot of redundant posts (AKIRA KNEE)- I really found the search tool pretty aggravating recently as certain moves and techniques become part of more and more VFers everday lingo. I really dont think the search tool is as good as board members make it out to be. Plus its always discouraging for a new player to be told that you are a scrub go search through a machinated system. Im pretty sure i wont be happy to sign up for a community, only to be told to be sent back to a machine.

Regarding searches again:
Recently trying to find ARE and VIP has led me on a wild goose chase of threading through countless insubstantial references to the technique, with no real information untill predating about 2 years back. That frustration is what led me back to this reply.

Where a VF wiki would help:
Honestly I believe VF wiki will help average to veteran players improve moreso than new players. Consider how many times veteran players refer to Orange book or 1/60th especially when working on sub characters. Instead of filtering through countless inane posts before reaching the meat, some spot on information would be a nice change.

If you believe a wiki will detract from the community, i think being told you're a scrub because new players always ask this and go use the search tool is much more degrading.

If anything myke, if you want a handsfree approach to wiki, im sure more than a handful of us are willing to help.


MYKE: i did a quick reply to your post in this thread and it booted me over to the VF:wiki thread in junkys jungle. Weird anomoly, the great cosmos at work, or just probably a quick reply bug

 

I am going to be maintaining the glossary and adding terms (complete with reference links) as the demand dictates. Define your terms and give links to any threads or guides you think may be useful and I will put them in.

 

Maybe you could add some common abbrevs like:
DE, SPoD, LBF, SDE, DJK, TFT etc...
